What Causes Heavy And Prolonged Periods?

Hi, I m on day 14 of menstrual cycle and today I felt a gush similar to when I get my period but it was clear and soaked through to my trousers. I have been with my partner for 3 years and have both tested negative for all Stds. We also use condoms and withdrawal no chance of being pregnant. I am on steroids inhalers for asthma and cold and flu medication right now. Is this just heavy ovulation? Or should I go to my GP?

Hi,

It may be intermenstrual bleeding. Nothing to worry and it will settle by itself. If symptoms persist, you can consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.
