Hi I recently started taking the pill. I started having light bleeding that was sorta brownish color but almost normal 9 days before I usually start. After about 4 days the bleeding stopped but notpw I am only experiencing pretty heavy bleeding when urinating, is this normal, what causes this?
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Bleeding during urination is not normal. Medications can cause nephrotoxicity and cause renal tubular damage and hematuria. This can present with light bleeding. 2. Heavy bleeding during urination is serious issue. Get a urine examination for infection. You will also require an ultrasound abdomen and possible renal biopsy to identify the renal pathology. 3. Also get a complete hemogram. Possibility of kidney being involved with infection or a malignancy is high. Further investigations necessary for further opinion. Meet your doctor for tests. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
