What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding With Abdominal Cramps While On Implanon?

I have had implanon in for 6 years in supposed to get it taken out the 25th of this month but starting last Thursday I started my period which I normally don t have with the implanon, anyways I started with bad cramps which again I usually don t have with implanon, it s bright red and heavy all signs I m used to having. I was wondering if it s just a sign it s running out or if there is something I should be concerned with?

Since the implanon is due for removal, the symptoms are likely due to the fact that the hormonal ingredients are decreasing.

It is not likely that the symptoms are related to a significant illness or problem.
