What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding In Between Periods?

Hi , Last month I had 2 periods October 3rd and October 22. they both were 7 days and were heavy. I had cramping this last time on my right side in lower stomach and right side lower back pain. I have been also having heavy discharge at times, that makes it feel like its another period but its not. ( its white) . mY DOCTOR TOLD ME that she can put me on birth control pills to help regulate periods but those don t help me they make my emotions worse. My periods have seemed they have gotten heavier but those don t not . I have never had to periods like this in one month plus heavy discharge. Is this something I should be concerned about or what can it be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take drugs like tranexamic acid to control bleeding.

If bleeding persists better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
