What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding Long After Taking Deviry To Delay Menstruation?

Hello Doctor, I took Deviry 10 mg twice a day to delay my periods from April 20th, 2017 to May 2nd, 2017. On May 7th I got my periods. But it was not normal & after 2 days i had heavy bleeding which lasted for the next 7 days. In June, My periods started on June 8th, again the bleeding was very little & from june 12th I had heavy bleeding till June 17th. My usual cycle is of 26 days. In july, it started on 2nd & with heavy bleeding on the first day itself. Is this pattern due to Deviry medication?

Hi,

As the first line of management, you can take drugs like Tranexamic Acid to control bleeding.

If bleeding persists you can consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
