Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My dad was dizzy last night , he was vomitting and had high blood pressure. We took him to the emergency room. they did all teh tests and everything was normal, catscan, blood tests etc... they kept him for observation till the morning.
What could it have been. He is 77 generally in good health. He is taking blood pressure medication, but last night he either forgot to take it, but for some other reason, the blood pressure stayed high for a long time until it started normalizing.
Hello and thank you for your question. He could have had a stomach virus. Either the virus, forgetting his medication or the vomiting could have caused his high blood pressure. It is great that all his testing in the Emergency Department was normal. Try to help him remember to always take his blood pressure medication. I hope he is feeling better soon. Thank you for using HCM.
