What Causes High Blood Sugar Level While On Liver Medication?

I am suffering from cirrohsis of liver, though in it's early stage. I have been prescribed Azoran 75mg and Omnacortil ( steroid) 50mg. My blood sugar has shot up and I am lately having some tremor. Could that be a side effect of any of these medicines or from the sudden increase in sugar level?

Hello,
Steroids are notorious to cause rise in blood sugar levels.Your sudden increase in blod sugar levels are because of use of Omnacortil.Since you may have to use Omnacortil for long time you are advised to start anti diabetic medicines along with your current treatment.Conslt your doctor for the prescription.Keep a regular track of your blood sugar levels so that dose of anti diabetic meicines can be titrated properly.
Thanks
