What Causes High Fever After E Coli Infection?

Hi ,My 6 months old son suffer an E coli bacteria infection(results from culture test) and having fever 104 F(2 days before) ,as per doctor prescription they give anti biotic for every 6 hrs and ask me to scan after 2 days .Now He is active ,no fever and doing normal activities .Is there any major problem ?

Hello. Thank you for your question. I am sorry your son was sick. it seems like the antibiotic is working to clear the infection. This is good. As long as his recovery continues, you do not have to be concerned about any long term effect of the illness.
