What Causes High Fever Despite Giving Meftal To Child?
Hi my 2.5 years old daughter wieghing about 12 kgs, is having high fever , may by appx 103-104. We have given her appx 3ml meftal. also done a bit of sponging on her head, plams , feet, and tummy. How much time it takes to bring the fever down. Its been an hour now
Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter is having high fever despite giving Meftal to child which seems to be due to viral or bacterial infection. It could be due to poor and compromised immunity of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit general physician once and get it examined. You should get blood tests redone and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Do tepid sponging as well to lower down fever. You should avoid giving child any outside food. Take diet rich in fresh juices and fruits. You should give your daughter complete test. Drink plenty of water and fluids. You should take anti-allergic medication along with proper course of antibiotic along with Ibuprofen.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
