What Causes High Starch Content In Urine With Cloudy Urine?

What would be the cause behind high starch in urine? For a while my urine has been cloudy, though not all the time. I did a quick test with iodine and the sample went blue (presence of starch). I have noticed that it happens mostly when I eat a starchy foods the day before. This has also been more evident since I have gone on a gluten/dairy-free diet. The urine is very cloudy. But again not all the time. Thank you for your attention on this.

Hi,
Iodine turning blue could be a sign of glycosuria, as any starch in food is ultimately converted to glucose. You need to check for your blood sugars to rule out Diabetes. If the fasting /post prandial blood sugars are normal ,nothing to be concerned about the positive iodine test .
As long as you do not have burning sensation during micturition and urine dipstick test is negative for protein loss through urine, cloudy urine has no significance.
