What Causes Hollowness In Knee?

I am suffering from very early stage of O.A of left knee . Doctor has prescribed 1) Pan 40 (2) Tab Lupoxa 200(3)Tab Orcerin 4) Dolopa Gel for three weeks.I have no problem in walking generally. Only sometimes i feel a hollowness in the left Knee. Also while walking down the stairs, i feel heaviness in the left knee. Should i start the medicine course or try with the exercises. I am 65 and has no other problem. What are DOs & Donts for me

Hi,Welcome to healthcare magic. After going through your query I came to know that ou are suffering from early osteoarthritis of left knee joint . Analgesics slow release tablets is helpful in pain relief. Diacerine and glucosmine sulfate(Tab Orcerin) protect cartilage from breakdown and help in cartilage regeneration. So your prescribed drugs will be beneficial as these will repair and prevents the damage caused by disease process. Quadriceps exercises is started after pain relief. You are advised not to squat and avoid walking on uneven surfaces .You can discuss with your treating doctor. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
