What Causes Hot Flashes, Night Sweats And Lethargy In A 74-year-old Woman Whose Cholesterol Levels Are Above Average?

I’m a woman 74 and started having hot flashes and night sweats again along with lethargy. I weigh 196 and recently had a normal and blood work that shows above average cholesterol. My grandmother had thyroid issues, what do you think is causing the hot flashes ?

Hi,

You are in the postmenopausal stage and having postmenopausal symptoms. Thyroid issues may be the cause but in your case its mostly postmenopausal symptoms. You have to reduce your weight.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Minakshi Biradar,
