What Causes Hypothyroid?

daughter had thyroid removed...before it was removed.. she had hypothyroid with huge nodules... my question is this... if your thyroid levels are off.. (she doesn t take her pill sometimes for days) and she has no thyroid.. can it cause an anaphylaxis.. vomiting.. sores on the skin.. abdominal pain ... etc

Dear ma'm, hi! thyroid disorders are usually auto immune. so auto antibodies are formed which cause thyroid enlargement, nodular degeneration. if you had her thyroid removed, she will require replacement for life. usually thyroid deficiency is not responsible for skin manifestations other than myxedema. regards!
