What Causes Inability To Have Bowel Movement?

my daughter took the Suprep Bowel Prep at 3:00pm this afternoon; is 11:20pm CT and she has not had any bowel movement. Her appointment is for 8:30m. We are just hoping her second round at 4am will work for her; she is concerned she may have to cancel the colonoscopy.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your daughter having CT scan and colonoscopy. She has taken Suprep at 3:00 pm today but no action, CT scan still be done but not the colonoscopy.
She needs a complete evacuation for the large bowel to be clean well.
Yes, let us hope the next dose does help.
Saline-soap water enema may help evacuation and then colonoscopy may be possible.
Ask her to take plenty of water orally.
Keep the Doctors concerned informed so that if needed yo can have the next appointment.
