What Causes Inflammation, Bruising And Redness On Feet?

For all of my life I have experienced random (every month or two) inflammation, bruising, redness, and horrible pain in my feet. The foot in question and area of the foot that is affected changes each flare up. Currently, I am experiencing this in both of my heels. I can barely walk on tip toes. This happens to my big toes, heels, balls of my feet, arches, and ankles. I ve been to doctors when I was younger and heavy into sports, but I was never given a diagnosis. Played it off for years and now I m just plain getting sick of it. Worse at night, and comes and goes within roughly 3 days. It s a constant throb, and visually the area is red/purple. Any thoughts?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
itseems you could be having plantar fascitis, an inflammatory condition of soft membrane in sole of the feet. The remedy is contrast bath by dipping incold and hot water alternately for 10 minutes 2 times daily, elevation of feet over sandbag or couple of pillows, and taking ibuprofen 400 mg thrice a dayfor 3-5 days after meals. Do not jog or stand for long and wear cushioned shoes to adsorb impact pressure on sole on jogging. Also have xrays of both feet including heels and consult an orthopedist
