What Causes Intense Left-sided Pain In The Hip Radiating Towards Buttocks And Groin?
I was raking up debris after hurricane Irma on a Saturday. The following Tuesday, after work I tried to get up from a chair and felt intense sharp pain in the left hip partially across the upper buttock and groin down the front of the upper thigh. Next day pain was still severe and I had trouble walking without pain. Went to the hospital and the Doctor said it was sciatica, gave me a shot of prednisone, some prednisone pills and muscle relaxers. It s been two weeks, pain has lessened, but still gives me trouble when I walk. Should I see an Ortho doc or give it a few more weeks?
