Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi , I have a bruised like feeling that comes and goes randomly.. Sometimes I can t even lift a plate from the cupboard because of the pain, but then it could be totally fine the next day. I am a healthy very active (fitness instructor) 39 year old female.. I don t recall hitting my arm at anytime
I have studied your case. Due to compression of cervical nerve root there can be weakness in your arm. Also there can be large disc bulge which can be compressing over spinal cord.
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication like pregabalin can be started consulting your doctor.
Till time, avoid lifting weights. You can consult physiotherapist for help. Physiotherapy like Tens and interferential therapy may give you relief for few days.
I will advise you new MRI cervical spine and EMG-NCV [nerve conduction study].
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care.
