What Causes Intermittent Nausea And Indigestion While On Augmentin?

I am 54 yr old female starting Dec 24th been nauseated, cant eat hardly anything. The nausea is coming and going. Some bouts of indigestion. Hurting between ribs at bottom of ribs. Just want to sleep. I was taking Augmenten for otitis media, left ear. Thought it was making me sick so i quit taking the day this started.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
If you have stopped Augmentin and still the problems of nausea, bouts of indigestion and pain in between ribs is continued then this may be gastroenteritis or may be induced by antibiotic.
You may try a PPI like Omeprazole
Take antacids every three hour, particularly when on empty stomach.
Probiotics and activated charcoal.
If these do not help, then you need the tests of blood and stool.
Ultrasound of abdomen.
Take proper treatment of left Otitis Media.
Change over to another antibiotic that helps both the conditions.
Antihistamines and anti-inflammatory that suit abdomen also.
