What Causes Intermittent Rectal Bleeding, Joint Paint, Fatigue, Lightheadedness And Vomiting?

I ve been having rectal bleeding intermittently, joint paint, fatigue, light-headed and feel like I want to vomit. I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy about 4 months ago and they found nothing. I am not feeling well and beginning to feel like a hypochondriac. Do you have any suggestions what may be going on.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The colonoscopy would have ruled out cancer as a cause of the rectal bleeding, which is good.

Constipation and straining, hemorrhoids, a fissure, diverticulitis are possible causes of bleeding, diverticulum would have been seen by the colonoscopy if they were present.

A blood count may be needed to rule out anemia as a cause of your light-headed feeling.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James,
