What Causes Intermittent Sharp Pain In The Lower Part Of My Head?

Both my boys keep having random sharp pains in the lower part of the back of their heads. These pains only last a few seconds, but can be so severe they fall to the ground. Have noticed that it mainly happens when looking up or down. My 13 year old s first incident he said it felt like he was bleeding inside his head.

Hello!

Welcome on Healthcaremagic!

These types of headache, could be related to occipital neuralgia.
This is a benign type of headache. So, it does not indicate any serious medical condition.
Just relax and don't worry about it!
If the problem persists, I would recommend consulting with the pediatrician for a physical exam.

Kind regards,
Dr. Aida
