What Causes Intermittent Vision Disturbance After Having A Macular Hole Repair?

Regarding my vision--in one eye it looks as though I am looking at a strobe light. It s not all the time , only periodically. I recently had a macular hole repair in that eye which was successful. I am scheduled to see the retina specialist in 3 months .What might be causing this?
