What Causes Intermittent Vomiting In Infants?

hello,my son is 1 year old n he has womatting problem,but for 1 or 2 days,next day he is fine,he has this problem from 5 days 1st day he has 3 womatting,but next day he was fine at day time but at night again womit,then yesterday he was ok,today at daytime he was ok but at night again womit.this womitting start when after meal or during meal he start coughing n because of coughing he starts womit.we have doctor appointment tomorrow,but i want to know why he is doing this?

There could be two cause
1) acute viral gastritis..sometimes it is associated with loose motions later on.it is self limiting.Treatment required is only antiemetic medicine
2)post tussive vomiting.. Caused due to cough reflux.Treatment required is cough suppressant syrup
