What Causes Irregular Bowel Movements With Stomach Bloating?

My digestion is very slow, meaning my bowel movements are very irregular. I m looking for what I should be eating to speed things up a bit. I find that when I eat, the food seems to be piling up and causes bloating. Some other observations I ve made was that, I don t react to sugar or refined products with a sugar rush, but sometimes just a crash. When I do however end up having a bowl movement, everything seems to empty out and the volume is pretty large. What should my diet look like? Any supplements I should be taking? Do I have a disease or illness?

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Fast evacuation of food with large volumes indicate that there is a need to rule out the possible causes as follows:
Irritable bowel syndrome.
Intestinal pathology.
Colitis of some sort.
Hence I would ad vise you the following in such a situation:
Tests of stool for three consecutive days.
CT scan of abdomen.
Colonoscopy.
Tests of blood for CBC, thyroid, liver and kidney functions.
Clinical evaluation by a Gastroenterologist.
All these will lead to a proper diagnosis so that a proper management of the specific cause can be found and treated.
If all the tests are normal then the most probable cause is IBS that is irritable bowel syndrome and good control of anxiety and stress can help a lot.
