What Causes Irregular Menstruation After Taking Primolut N?

Hi. I took primolut n on my first day of menses which was on Friday last week immediately I noticed it. I took then and later at night. Initially i took it to stop my period. Although the period didn t stop but it was kinda irregular on Friday then i took another pill on Saturday morning. But i found out the event was postponed so I stopped taking it. And since then till now i have being flowing. Could anything be wrong? Andfor how long willthe bleeding continue. Thanks. Val

Hi,

Slight menstrual irregularities can happen with pills like Primolut N. Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself without any treatment.

If the period is delayed long, you have to consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated, in that case, you might require drugs to induce a withdrawal bleed.
