What Causes Irregular Periods After Miscarriage?

I am a 23 year old female and got married a year and 4 months ago. I tested positive for pregnancy 2 months after my marriage.on the 45th day of my cycle i started bleeding which resulted in miscarriage. 3 months later i was pregnant again. This pregnancy lasted for 16 weeks and later it resulted in spontaneous expulsion of foetus at home itself. That night i had severe cramping. It all happened in 3-4 hours. I was hospitalized and underwent D&C. I did bleed for about a week after d&c. My next period was 43 days later. After which the next two cycles got delayed for 50 days. When consulted gynaec, she suggested duphaston for 3 cycles from 15-24 days of the cycles..now it is my second cycle. I have noticed that i bleed on the 26th day itself. Kindly advice me. Is it all normal. Its been 8 months after my abortion and still not pregnant.

In view of two successive abortions, it is preferable to maintain a gap of at least six months before trying to conceive again. Meanwhile, you should try to rectify the hormone imbalances and establish proper ovulation. The most likely cause for the onset of bleeding on the day 26 is the withdrawal effect of Duphaston. Please do not worry. You will definitely conceive again, but I suggest that you take all necessary precautions before that. Hope this helps.
