What usually happens is that the small nerves supplying the area of surgery also get incised. No surgeon can avoid the cutting of nerve terminals.
The features of this is the
tingling and
numbness. This may last till the nerves have had time to regenerate.
The possibilitu of
fungal infection cannot be ruled out. I would suggest a swab culture to rule out that possibility. The need of medicines can be decided accordingly
