What Causes Itchiness, Bloating, Abdominal Pain After Taking Morning After Pill, Levonelle?
I have taken the morning after pill, levonelle, last Friday roughly 24 hours after sex with my long-term boyfriend. The common side effect I experienced were slight bloating and abdominal pain. I also felt quite itchy about 5 hours after taking the pill and have since developed a generalised rash, which is still spreading. Is this normal and if so, how long will it last? Allergy can occur with any drug use.You need to take an antihistamine or a steroid to reduce the symptoms of allergy.
You will have to switch to another contraceptive pill next time to avoid any future hypersensitivity.
