What Causes Itching And Burning Sensation While Urinating?

HI I think I may have a UTI. The other night I was awakening by heavy itching down below and it has continued. I have noticed a burning sensation when I pee. The day after I had pain on my left side low and it lasted all day. I took a probiotic and the pain has disappeared. I leave in a foreign country so it could be something else.
