What Causes Itching, Burning White Bumps On Upper Inside Corner Of Lip?
I have these little white bumps on the upper inside corner of my lip. They itch and burn a little. What could it be? I looked at pictures of cold sores and I do not believe they are it. I also went to a pharmacist yesterday and had him look at it. He told me Abreva was certainly not what I needed, when I asked him what could help. He said it was not cold sores that it could be an allergy. I purchased Benadryl instead but the little bumps are still there and it itches a lot.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain formation of small bumps and itching can be due to allergic reaction while herpes virus infection causing cold sores can also be a cause and it cannot be neglected.. I would however suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and the treatment can be advised according to the cause.. As of now you can take Fexofenadine [allegra] for relief and can also apply a steroid ointment over it to relieve itching.. Do warm saline gargles. Take a soft diet and avoid spicy foods.. Maintain a good oral hygiene..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
