What Causes Itching In The Arm Pits?

Hi my mum is 81 and been diagnosed with 2 primary cancers bladder 35 x15 mm tumour removed and a tumour in her lungs same size unable to remove as they fear she is unable to handle partial lung removal. Over the last week she has been complaining about itchy arm pits. Does this mean the cancer has moved to the lymph nodes ?

Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.

If cancer has spread to particular lymph nodes then those lymph nodes becomes "increased in size". Itching does not specifically suggests metastasis. It could be due to an insect bite r hygienic conditions. If still she has itching then she can take cetirizine one at night for itch AND if it persists for more than 3-4 days then i would suggest you to visit hospital.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing her good health.
