Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
We have a 16 month old baby. She has been suffering from serious allergy for last 3/4 months. Her skin gets red as rash. It itches heavily. She feels discomfort in sleeping. Sleeping does not look like sound.
Would you please suggest us what we should do now? It is mentioned here that I, the father of the baby have acute allergy from my age 23.
Hi... I sympathize with the kid and understand your concern. By what you quote I feel that it could be eczema. The trick of the management is keeping the skin moist and never allowing it to be dry. For this oil massage and lotions like Oilatum will help. Regarding cure options - eczema is a sort of allergy...allergies can only be controlled and can never be cured. But usually kids grow out of it...that is as the age progresses, they become better starting from 6 months. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
