What Causes Jaw Pain With Pimple?

Hi, I have a pimple right above my jaw joint. and I have some jaw pain on the lower, mostly, and upper( i think the upper is from clenching because my lower hurt first). Is it cause by the inflammation of the pimple causing my tmj to act up? or could it be an abscess?

Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

You can also apply clindamycin lotion for symptomatic relief.

If lesion persists better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
