What Causes Joint Pain With Water Retention In Hands And Legs?

I had hip surgery in February, its healing fine and no pain. But about 3 weeks ago I began retaining water in my hands, legs and feet. Also I have intense joint pain in mainly my hands/knuckles, and my knees and I don t know what the cause is. I should also mention, I have been treated in the past year for Ulcerative Colitis, so I am already on an anti inflammatory med called Simpony. What else could cause this? Should I see a doctor?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that you are having swelling due to high blood pressure or steroids or pain killer you have taken for ulcerative collitis. So I would suggest you to meet a doctor and get your self examined. If there is any high blood pressure then you should get treatment for it. If there is side effect of steroids or pain killer then you need to decrease doses of the drugs.
thanks
