What Causes Joints Pain While On Azoran?

My wife is suffering from ulcerative colitis from 2014. She is 44 yet as old now. Initially she has been given mesacol 2.4gm per day. Later after one year when it got repeated given wysolonw and Azoranv150 gm per day. She is taking azoranv150 gm per day from last one year. Now she has sever pain in all the joints . Is it safe to continue with this medicine. When consult d doctor also suggested to take salfasalazine 2gm per day but no effect? Kindly suggest

Hi,

It may not be related to Azoran. Most probably it could be an early sign of arthritis. As a first step you can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.
