Dear Sir/Madam
I have gone through your query and read your symptoms.
In my opinion, you specifically describe your symptoms and your thumb pain means your sixth cervical nerve root is getting compressed, please get an mri done and confirm, if the compression is more you may need a repeat surgery, but that can be judged by a clinical examination.
I hope that answers your query. If you want any more clarification, contact me back.
I find this answer helpful
