What Causes Knee Pain And Lump In Leg Above Ankle?

my daughter 30 year old had a MRI today on her leg. She initially went to the doctor for knee pain. She has been in P.T. and she pointed out a lump on her leg above ankle. Then sent for MRI. She had that tonight. I am a RN anyway they told her I need to check with the doctor. Then the nurse said they will be calling you with the results. What do you think? She call me and asked, I am a CNO clinical skills not there. What can I tell Her. She has always been very active. Played College Basketball and has continue to work out. Non smoker and healthy.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. The lump can be a fibroma But MRI report is essential to comment on it . It can give obstruction to blood supply or impingement on nerve which can give a radiating pain towards knee also. In such case surgical excision and histopathology should be carried out. Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further queries.
Thanks
