What Causes Knee Pain While Walking?

Today while walking my knee popped as it always does but normaly the pain goes away and I don t think about it but this time all day I have been having shooting pains every so often and they are killer it hurts to walk I dont know what to do to make the pain go away or why its still hitting. Any ideas?

1 Bursitis may be the most common reason ( ligament infection in knee joint ) .
2 Osteoarthritis may be the next reason , diagnosis can be confirmed by examination by an orthopedic surgeon.
3 Rheumatoid arthritis may be the next reason , get in blood for R A FACTOR .
However there are so many other reasons of such pain but consultation with an orthopedic surgeon will be helpful.
