What Causes Knee Pain?

Recently my right knee and hip have been painful, especially when I m arising from a sitting position or a kneeling position. I am 70 years old, good health, and very active. I keep my 4 yr old grandson 3 days a week and we stay busy. Any idea what is causing the pain?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take Aceclofenac and Paracetamol tab twice a day for 5 days. You can take Rabeprazole tab twice a day for 5 days. Apply Diclofenac spray on affected site. Apply warm water bag on affected site. If not resolved then consult your orthopedic surgeon. Do X-ray of affected part and do physiotherapy, it is also helpful.
