What Causes Lack Of Appetite, Constipation And Chronic Pain In The Feet?

Husband has frequent bouts of gas, bloating, lack of appetite, constipation (opioid) mostly between meals, and increasingly at dinnertime. He takes metformin (DMII), and low-dose morphine for a chronic pain condition in his feet caused by surgery about 15 years ago. He also takes Miralax daily. I need your feedback. P.S. His doctor just prescribed ranitidine 2x daily. Thank you for your input.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, it seems to be chronic condition of constipation, the main cause of this is to take the narcotic and less amount of water intake and less amount of fiber diet taken.
Advise:- it is advisable to stop taking narcotic analgesic instead NSAID can be tried and best would be Diclofenac, drink more water, have more fiber containing diet.
Isabgol powder can be tried,

hope this information helps.
