Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I have read your question fully and understand your concerns.
The commonest cause of hoarse voice is laryngitis (most possibly viral) and dysphagia commonly can be due to GERD. GERD can also cause hoarse voice. If your symptoms are of recent origin (about a week or so), then you can take some conservative treatment like sucking lozenges, gargles and
paracetamol for your hoarse voice , and acidity controlling medications like
Lansoprazole 30 mg or
Rabeprazole 20 mg once a day for the next two weeks for your dysphagia. If the symptoms still persist after 2 weeks, kindly see your doctor for further evaluation.
You could continue your current dose of thyroxine as it has brought your TSH levels to near normal. Antibody of 400 suggests that your
hypothyroidism is of an autoimmune origin.
Hoarse voice and dysphagia can also be due to thyroid problems – due to pressure effect from an enlarged thyroid (goitre) or from a
thyroid nodule. But, I suspect your doctor would have already examined and assessed you for these.
I hope this answer has helped you.
Thank you
Regards
Dr Sunita Sayammagaru
