What Causes Left Side Abdomen Pain, Cramping And Acidity?

yes can my primary md help me with this first time problem. I have pain on the left side of my abdomen, cramping and gas. Or should i see a gastroenerologist?n I had boiled beans last night w/chicken. This afternoon. The abdoiminal problem began.

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history pain in the left side of abdomen, cramping and gas, had boiled beans with chicken yesterday night and developed the symptoms today afternoon. Wants to know whether the Primary MD can help or to see the Gastroenterologist...
Your problems look to be colitis of the left side of the colon and could have been due to the combination of foods that did not suit you or may be infective colitis .
This can be judged by stool test and an appropriate treatment started by your Primary MD .
You need not go to the Gastroenterologist at the moment.
Only if the medical management fails you need to see the Gastroenterologist for clinical evaluation, colonoscopy and further management.
Take probiotics and anti-spasmodic to get a temporary relief of the cramps are too much.
