What Causes Leg Pain With Limpness?

I wake up alot at night and lately when I wake up my left leg does not work and is very painful. I have fallen several times because I am half asleep and I try to use it. It is a sharp pain and my leg does not respond to me trying to use it. Its limp and does not hold my body weight. I do not have these symptoms any other time.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you have got limping due to temporary numbness and paralysis of your leg. It is due to continuous pressure on the nerve while waking. To avoid this you are advised not be seated to one place continuously for long. Keep moving for small walk at intervals . Mecobalamin may be of help. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
