i was told i had a bacteria in my colon plus ecoli in my urine , i was put on nitrofur mac 100mg i thought that was only for bladder infections. also my feet and legs are swelling and were before i began the medicine. is something more serious underlying this

You should be investigated for that. Diseases effecting cardiac or liver or kidneys can cause swelling of limbs. Along with that there are several other causes also. After a physical examination investigations should be done depending on the examination findings. Further treatment depends on the diagnosis made. Continue to ask further queries as required.
