What Causes Less Frequency Of Urination In A Child?

My grandaughter is 3 1/2 yrs old and on getting up in the mornings goes half a day sometimes before using the potty to urinate. Is this normal or should we consult a physician. Her pediatrician relocated after her 3 year checkup in December so we can t consult with her. She also does not eat well.

Thanks for your query
I appreciate your concern about your grand daughter.
Please get one routine urine and urine culture done, which it seems likely to be normal.
In case it turns out to be normal no more tests are required unless she has urinary symptoms (straining while passing urine/crying while passing urine)
If urine examination reveals abnormal findings then it is wise to see a doctor

I hope my answer is helpful to you
