What Causes Light Brown Discharge During The Ovulation Period?

Hey there, I have a question to ask. My gf has PCOS, so sometimes her period comes either a few days late or early. We were fooling around one day (8 and 9 of June). (We have never has intercourse before as we want to wait.) Anyways after fooling around, we then only noticed that it was around her ovulation period. (Because of her PCOS, I m not sure if it was really her ovulation time of the month). There are moments when our genitals touched (probably at the clit area). Now, about 5 days later, she did tell me, that she saw some light brown discharge on her pad (for only a day / 12th June). It was completely fine after that. We took a pregnancy test on the 22nd June and it stated negative. I m curious, can she get pregnant? Her period was due in the 23rd but but has not come yet. Or is it just delayed.

In the current scenario, it is more likely that she is experiencing a breakthrough discharge as often happens with PCOD. Also, home pregnancy tests read well 3 weeks after ovulation. The estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres is ideal for an earlier clarification. You can either go for the blood test or wait for a week and take specialist's advice. Take care.
