What Causes Light Brownish Discharge After Periods With Back Pain?
Hello. I wonder if anyone can help me, I had the last day of my period on the 28th of June and everything was normal until the 11th of July. I started having a reddish brown discharge, it was quite light. I read that this can happen for two to three days and is considered normal. But today is the 17th and the brown discharge is still happening and now it is accompanied by a light headache, occasional light cramping and back pain. I have not been sexuallyactive in over a year and not on any contraceptives, please help.
Hello, Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I have gone through your query and would like to offer you some information. From the description you have given, it appears as though you are experiencing some hormone imbalance. I would ask you to go for a proper clinical evaluation, a pelvic/trans-vaginal sonogram of the pelvis to know the status of the pelvic organs, hormone assay, blood counts and urinalysis. Local causes like erosion of the cervix, polyps of the cervix and endometrium and infections also should be excluded. Take care.
