What Causes Light Red Discharge While Having Sex?

hello doctor , i am a married girl of 26,i had my periods on 6th of this month, before periods i did not find bleeding during our love making, bt after periods was over each time we have sex the fluid seems light red, dnt knw the reason for it, so culd u please guide us.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Bleeding during or immediatelt after sexual intercourse can be normal, but at times can be a sign of an abnormality as well. I would thus recommend a visit to your doctor for a complete physical examination.

Please do not fail to mention history like whether or not you are on birth control, any stress, any other medications, whether you involve in rough sexual intercourse, etc. All these factors can cause intermenstrual bleeding as well.
