What Causes Light Spotting, menstrual Cramps While Having Faint Line In Pregnancy Test?

I have missed my period for four months now and I did a digital pregnancy test and it says not pregnant but I also did another test and there is a very faint line. When I missed my period for the first month I had spot bleeding it was barley there. I do get cramps every so often but they are not like my usual period cramps. I did have a miscarriage with my last pregnancy but the one before that I was fine I had a healthy little boy. Could I just have low hcg levels? My mum had very low hcg levels with me and my sister.

Hello,

You seem to have signs of pregnancy. Please go to your gynecologist for blood tests confirming pregnancy and ultrasound imaging. As it's 4 months now, you should not have a faint line but it must be strongly positive in home pregnancy test. Spotting and cramps are common during the early days of pregnancy and miscarriage. Low HCG levels are seen in:
Miscarriage
Fetal death
Ectopic pregnancy

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
