Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband and I are in the sun a lot. For about 3 days straight then on Sundays he and I are both light headed and have diarrhea for about 2 days straight. Can this be caused from being in the sun for about 10 hours a day on Thursday Friday and Saturday?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of you and your husband being in sun for 10 hours a day for two days and both of you developed diarrhea and light headedness. This is not due to being in sun as it alone can not cause diarrhea. This indicates that either your water or food source had bacteria and hence both of you consumed and got the infection. I would advise you the following: Send the stool sample for tests and get blood tests too. Consult your Doctor to get a clinical evaluation and proper treatment in the form of an antibiotic, probiotics, symptomatic and supportive treatment.
