What Causes Longstanding Pelvic Pain And Incontinence Of Urine?
Hi, I have been having pelvic pain for a week now, I also lost control of my bladder about 2 weeks ago. My dr checked my urine and said it was fine, but I had high ketones( didn t get the number). Last night I was in er because the pelvic pain was so bad. They said I have a possible uti. I just checked my urine tests from last night and it shows that me ketones were at 80, which is pretty high amount. I m not diabetic and not on a diet, should I be concerned about this?
Dear-thanks for using our service and asking your medical questions. It is possible that you have an uti but also ketones show in urine when you are in starvation or dehydrated. You can have ketones with diabetes but sometimes we dont drink enough water to keep our body in a steady state and that produces ketones too. Some other medical conditions can increase ketones bodies in urine so if you still with this you may need to have a complete bloodwork to evaluate liver and kidney function. Please hit thanks if I was helpful Dr.SAra
